Call for Panels for the 8th Annual ISNS Conference – June 17th-20th, 2010

Below is the call for panels for the 8th annual ISNS conference, to be held outside Madrid in Miraflores de la Sierra, Spain on June 17-20, 2010. Thanks to José Zamora, the conference web site is now up, and you may visit it for more information about the conference:

http://www.uam.es/otros/isns2010/Bienvenida.html

Anyone who is interested in organizing a panel at the conference should send a brief description of the panel along with its title and the name(s) and email address(es) of the contact person(s) to the three organizers:

Panels abstracts are due on January 26. The list of panels proposed will later be found at the Panels page of the conference web site:

http://www.uam.es/otros/isns2010/Panels.html

Panel organizers are responsible for collecting the abstracts and choosing those for inclusion in their panels. They should notify the organizers of their decisions by March 1.

We will also welcome individual abstracts for papers that do not fall under any of the panels listed at this site.  After the panels are announced in January, you will be able to send your abstract (again, one-page maximum) to the three conference organizers.

All abstracts, whether individual or for inclusion in the panels, are due by 23 February, 2010.  Papers may be presented in English, French, German, Spanish or Italian.  It is recommended that those delivering papers in languages other than English provide printed copies to their audience at the conference.

Please note that anyone giving a paper at the conference must be a member of the ISNS.  You may sign up and pay dues on the web site of the Philosophy Documentation Center:

http://www.pdcnet.org/member-isns.html

Dues are $60.00 per year ($20.00 for students and retirees).

If you have any questions about the program, registration, or location of the conference, please contact José Zamora.  Questions about ISNS policies, should be addressed to me. José, Gary, and I look forward to seeing you all at the June conference.
