The hotel and conference center is located near the village of Miraflores de la Sierra.  José Zamora, President of the Spanish section of ISNS, is hosting the conference.

Dear SAGP Colleagues,

This is a reminder that Project Theophrastus and DePauw University are sponsoring a conference on Aristoxenus, September 10-12, 2009. The conference will consider all aspects of Aristoxenus’ work including his music theory and other work on music and dance, his psychology, his work as a biographer, including his biographies of Socrates, Plato and Pythagoras, and his other writings on the Pythagoreans.

The program is set and includes papers by Andrew Barker, John Dillon, Stefan Schorn, Steve White, Steve Strange, Leonid Zhmud, Antonella Provenza, David Creese, Elisabetta Matelli, Antonella Provenza, Tim Power and Carl Huffman.
