CALL FOR PAPER ABSTRACTS
27TH Annual Meeting of the Society for Ancient Greek Philosophy (SAGP) with the Society for the Study of Islamic Philosophy and Science (SSIPS)
October 16th-18th, 2009
Fordham University Lincoln Center Campus
New York City
The Society for Ancient Greek Philosophy and the Society for the Study of Islamic Philosophy and Science invite the submission of abstracts for conference papers to be presented at their annual meeting at Fordham University. Although the original objective of the annual meeting was to emphasize interrelationships between ancient Greek and Islamic philosophy, over the years we have branched out to include a wide range of topics in ancient, medieval, Islamic, and Asian philosophy.
We invite paper, panel, and roundtable submissions from faculty, graduate students, and independent scholars, although all speakers on panels sponsored by SAGP must be dues-paying members of the Society for Ancient Greek Philosophy. Proposals for panel or roundtable discussions are due by MAY 15, 2009; proposals for individual papers are due by JUNE 1, 2009.
Panel proposals must include the following: Panel title, name of chair of panel, all speakers (and commentators, if any); academic affiliations of all participants, titles of papers, email addresses and postal addresses of all participants. Additionally, each presenter will need to submit a one-page (300-500 words in RTF or Word format) paper abstract by June 1.
Individual paper proposals must include the following: Paper title, author’s name, academic affiliation, a one-page (300-500 words in RTF or Word format) abstract, email address, and preferred postal address.
Proposals should be emailed to the relevant program committee section head:
