The journal “Ancient Philosophy” (ISSN 0740-2007, edited by Ron Polansky) is now available in electronic format from the Philosophy Documentation Center. This is a new electronic resource; this journal has not previously been accessible in electronic format. Click here to find out more information about “Ancient Philosophy”.

The new option is more flexible and cheaper. Here’s the subscription breakdown:

Print only: $32 (current volume)
Online only: $64 (vol.5 – present)

Institutions
Print only: $70 (current volume)

POIESIS: $1,500 + print subscription to Ancient Philosophy

Philosophy in the Aegean 2009

We have room for about six people on this year’s Philosophy in the Aegean field school. Cost for two weeks, excluding airfare is 1500$ Canadian (about 1200 USD). The cost covers:

  • Accommodation
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR GREEK PHILOSOPHY ( IAGP ), THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER OF GREEK PHILOSOPHY AND CULTURE, THE GREEK PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY, THE SOUTH AFRICAN SOCIETY FOR GREEK PHILOSOPHY AND THE HUMANITIES, THE SOCIETY FOR ANCIENT GREEK PHILOSOPHY (SAGP – USA) and other academic and cultural institutions and organizations are pleased to announce the:

21st INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF PHILOSOPHY ON THE TOPIC: “PHILOSOPHY, ART AND TECHNOLOGY”

The Conference which is directed by an International Academic Committee and is organised in cooperation with Neapolis University of Pafos (NUP) will take place in the famous and beautiful island of Cyprus at the District of Paphos (or Pafos), the mythical birth place of Aphrodite. The Conference will last from Tuesday 21st of July 2009 (day of arrivals) up to 27th of July 2009.
